I cant read anything about the PATS or even discuss anything until this next game is on....

If we lose, we very likely out of the playoffs. (IMO) I cant believe it has come to this already....

Anyone else in this extremely nervous state??

Too many of you. My advice to you is to start drinking heavily. [/Animal House]

Not really, need to put some perspective in your life.. the Pats are extremely important, but other things take precedent.. do not worry they will win on Sunday..

Will you cheer less the rest of the way if we lose?

I won't.

I'm really worried, too. The Dolphins are one of the better teams in football right now, and we're playing at their home. Halp.

I won't.

Me neither, although I cheered for them during the **** McPherson era!

On a side note, this is our toughest game the rest of the year.....everything on the line against a team that killed us earlier this year in a place that we generally don't play well in. The only positive is that it's november and not september in south Florida

We play against Pittsburgh and Arizona and at Buffalo the last game and you think this is the toughest game remaining?

They may have stomped us a few weeks ago and we may have trouble winning in Miami in the past ,but to say this is the toughest game remaining on the schedule is pure ridiculous.

I disagree. I have watched several games of our opponents, and I think that this game against Miami will be the toughest to win.

We win this one, and I can see us running the table.

We lose, and things become problematical.

Mike Reiss doesn't think it's ridiculous......

Ask Reiss: King of the Cassel - Boston.com

"Not just because it’s the next game, but I think the toughest game will be the Dolphins...."

I'll hit the "panic button" if they don't win on sunday. I think of the Pats record after a loss and it's a pretty good stat. I have to laugh to myself, I told my wife before the start of the season I thought the Pats could go 12-4, so does this mean they'll run the table? :)

This is the toughest game on the schedule for this week. Next

week the toughest game will be Pittsburgh.

I'm a little antsy about this one myself. I easily envision a scenario where we win. I also (not quite so easily) envision one where we lose. I'm cautiously optimistic. The type of pressure we put on Pennington I believe is going to be a major key to the game. I think we'll score a fair number of points, but am a little concerned about their short passing attack and YAC, along with the Wildcat. I've been around long enough to remember game #1 in 1960 (I was there), but all these years have done nothing to temper the anticipation I still have for every game. My wife and everyone else know enough to clear the hell out of the house before game time. Her only provision is that during the warm weather part of the season I keep all of the windows closed in consideration of our neighbors. A small price to pay, I suppose...

I'm not nervous but I'm extremely anxious. This may or may not be the toughest game on the schedule (BTW...the dolphins aren't playing as well as everyone thinks lately BUT they're getting wins, which is all that counts).

The reason this game is EXTREMELY important is for the division records. Not even necessarily the division title but order of finish.

jets are 3 - 1 right now
miami is 2 - 1 right now (with trips to the jets and to buf, in toronto)
pats are 2 - 2 right now heading to buf at the end of the season.

if the pats lose, not only are they trailing in overall records, they're behind the 8-ball in the division and relying on the other teams losing. And, they have weak schedules too.

That's why this game is vital...not just because it's the next game. You can lose the pittsburgh game but you must win this game.

Funny.. same with me.. everyone steers clear of me during pats games.. esp BIG pats games (Superbowl, etc). I watched the first two Superbowls with people (party) and vowed after the greenbay win (when people in NE cheered for GB), i vowed I would never watch with other people again. Now that I am older, I will watch it with my but that's it, I just can't handle it :)

Joey porter was just talking again on PTI. He said that our team disrespected them in Foxboro earlier in the year.....

And the change of season makes all the difference...

Good posting.

The Fish are media darlings because of the Tuna and the fact they are far exceeding low expectations, but thus far their season peaked when they played the Pats.

They won ugly vs. Oakland & Seattle at home; now, they won, which is good, and it's what mediocre teams do at home vs. bad teams. But I still peg them as a mediocre 8-8 or 9-7 team, and think they will lose this week to a Good Team (NEP).

No anxiety here, more a sort of dull acceptance; I've been programming myself to think of this as the Lost Season, in case it proves to be such.
