SHOCKING NEWS: Porter runs his mouth off. Again.

Until Cassel throws 4 or 5 TDs every game, nobody respects our O. It's time for Cassel to shut Porter off. Can he do that this weekend?

I'm hoping for a Brady-on-Urlacher type of juke move by Cassel. Then after he slides for the first time he does the throat slash to Porter...it would be worth the 15.

Or maybe a nice Welker "YOU F'IN SUCK!" after a block.

It's definitely time for one of those:D

Am I crazy or alone in that I don't see what the big deal is here. I know Porter is a jerk, but based only on what JSN quoted, I don't see much to get up in arms about.

Do you use what has happened in the past as motivation for Sunday?

Porter: I don't forget things like that. I hope our whole defense, our whole team don't forget things like that. ... [Belichick] had the mindset last year where he said if he could put 50 up on you, he was going to put 50 up on you. That was his mindset. Porter is right, the Pats would score as many points as possible. Who wouldn't? And like Porter, the Pats have also used being blown out as motivation against that same team in subsequent games, e.g., Buffalo in 2003, where BB himself told the team "These guys got us pretty good. You don't always get a chance to settle a score during a season, OK we got this one, and we need to take advantage of it this week." before the second game.

So why should I feel sorry about anything that happens on their sideline? I really don't care what's going on over there. I'm worried about what we're doing, period. As he should be.

Nah I was going to say the same thing. In fact if Joey was on our team and was saying something different I'd be upset. You want your players to have a chip on their shoulder about getting humiliated. You want your players to not care about what is going on on the other sideline.

For a forum that gets up in arms when someone in a Patriots' uni is exchanging handshakes after a play you guys sure seem to get mad at Porter for being competitive.

I can't stand Joey Porter but he's not in the wrong at all here.

I think you're right. Some of us (including yours truly) got all huffy about his comments before the last game and figured he'd get his. Well, he got his, all right - an ass-kicking on their part. When you do what they did to us you get to shoot your mouth off. It's up to us to shut it. If we can, fine. If not, we just have to shut up and take it. That's just my 2 cents worth.

Who cares, if anyone should be worried it's us. This is another must win for us, and last time Porter opened his mouth he got 4 sacks so....

Re: Porter talks Schit again

look down, you'll see this topic already being discussed :D

Re: Porter talks Schit again

Did I miss something? He didn't say much. Said a few things that he said before and not much more. He didn't predict victory this time though.

All this stuff is media bait.

Seriously...

The best way to respond is through your play. Double team him if you have to. Game plan to have him blocked, Porter is good whether we like it or not.

As we always say, take away what they do well.

Miami has shown amazing improvement. It never is and never will be about Porter, he is one of 53 guys that needs to be game planned for, that's all.

He will always talk, he dosen't know how not to.

Execution is the key. Miami as a team is the focus here...and it's a big game.

Kill the messenger! Kill the messenger! :D

It would be really nice to shut this tool up. That's all I'm saying.

It would be really nice to get some winning happening.

he must not hink they are going to win than becuase he usually has perdicted victory vs us and prior to this year was usually wrong.

There's only one way to shut him up. Beat them.

Totally right. He answers the question that was asked. He is one of the better LB in football and had the score run-up on his team last year - now he looking for redemption. No problem with a guy who takes on a challenge. Now we just have to beat the Phins.

We don't need Mankins punching anyone...consistent blocking would be a more welcome, thanks.

PJ is 100% right. Plenty of jerks around the NFL...Porter is nothing exceptional in that regard. I just hope we beat them and then let him talk afterwards.

He has an interview coming up on Espn saying he still feels cheated from the Pittsburgh AFCCG.

 You're looking more and more like a b!tch, Joey. Which I didn't think was possible after having your friends attack someone from behind while you sat and watched.

Little Joey Porter sounds like he needs to take his steroids, whoops, I meant meds.

The Patriots defense needs to step up here and stop the Fish.
