I've been on numerous other fan boards for all sports and this is by far the best I've seen in terms of the wealth of (timely) information and organization.

I initially started posting on this site under a different alias back in 2000 but left because I was so annoyed with all the opposing team trolls crashing the boards. Since I started up again in the last year, I've been pretty happy with the job the mods have done in keeping these trolls off this site. If you don't know what this is like try going to PFT, the Boston Globe or Boston Herald message boards and see how many trolls the Pats threads have there.

For the money, this is the best site for Pats information and mostly civilized discussions.

Although i don`t post as often as i use too i still read the posts every day.
I signed up today because I feel we owe it to Ian for the great work he has

Money is tight when it's the week before payday. Yes it's only £10 but thats 4 days worth of food from the work canteen.

money is tight these days for a lot of people - may not seem like much but to some it is, people are cutting back on everything to make ends meet

but

if we do not help then the responsibility falls on Ian alone...give it time and hopefully soon people will slowly pitch in

If you can't donate obviously it's not a big deal. I understand your situation, and as mentioned in the donation thread for those who can contribute I appreciate it, and for those that can't I don't expect you to sacrifice 1/2 a tank of gas for the sake of helping out here.

Everyone who has helped out thank you, as it takes a bite out of the bill coming in every month and it's a big help. Speaking of which, thank you to: C32345 who was the 100th contributor. Now we're officially 1/3rd the way there

I understood that it was purely about not having the money this week. i'll get round to donating next week. when i have been paid.

I'll throw my vote to permitting additional contributions.

In the event these additional contributions confer limited or substantial authority to Patjew to ban members or delete accounts, I'd consider it a purchase of insurance against my slipping quietly into oblivion one day.
