So sorry for your and your kids' loss. What terrible, devastating news. Those babies will need you more as time goes on.

So sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts go to you and yours, and if you need anything, a phone number or place to come in North Carolina to watch a Patriots game this season, don't hesitate.

The difference is that Brady calmly calls audibles while Manning flaps like a chicken, barks 11 code words, and makes sure every camera in the stadium has documented his once-in-a-generation (and patented, I believe) ability to see a defensive formation and change the play. Both have the same effect, but Manning transcends measurable human intellect while Brady merely chooses a different play.

Dave, I am so sorry for your loss. Words kind of escape me at times like this because it's so hard to actually imagine what you and your family are going through. I'm glad you brought the PatsFans family in to help however we can, reading the posts before mine I'm sure you can see that we are indeed a family and you are a big part of it. I can always count on the Patjew posts to be a breath of fresh air; often when we need it the most. My thoughts are with you and your kids.

I've tried to come up with something deep and intellectual to say, but as usual I am unable to come up with either.

I am deeply sorry to hear of your loss Dave. I would literally be dead a few times over if it weren't for my wife. I can't imagine life without her.

Peace be with you, my friend. It's times like these when true friends and family are all that really matter.

So very sorry for your loss. Tragic news.

You always brought balance to an argument or discussion for the benefit of all, now it's our turn to provide the balance at a moment of need for you.

Hang on in there. Our thoughts are with you.

Hi Everyone. Once again I'd like to thank you for all of the incredible messages and PMs. They mean so much to me. I hope I have a chance to respond to invidual PMs soon. But know that I appreciate them.

Today was the funeral. It was tough but beautiful. Almost 300 people turned up. I felt so relieved when it was over. No I just feel sad. I had a mini breakdown in the kitchen.

Later I may paste in the eulogy I presented in case anyone would like to read it. People gave me alot of kind comments about it.

I'm really touched by all of your kind sentiments. It's helping.

Thank you all.
