Has Gronk been re-habing with IR Dowling?

Sounds like a rare slip of the tongue on Belichick's part.

But if Gronk can go, I'd like to see him (at the very least) gets some reps in, get used to getting hit again, and get used to playing football altogether.
Without knowing whats going on. I think we can pretty safely assume that Gronk would be doing everything (running routs, walk through, game plans, running) that he normally would do. The only thing he would be held out of is the actual contact with his broken arm.

It would very much surprise me if his route running/timing was affected to much as long as he has been keeping it up in training with TB.

not 100% sit him..give him 2 more weeks of rest...he will get his reps in the wildcard game and then be ready to face denver

so much for those Patsfans who for the last 4 weeks have had Gronk starting the next game. That said I had expected the fractured forearm to be ready for some football timing contact vs the Phins.

I can only imagine the conversation...

BB: Well Gronk "Are you ready for some football!?!"

Gronk: Aw gee coach. This Sunday 2 rehab nurses and 2 of the Pats cheerleaders are volunteering on their own time to give me water therapy in my hot tub. How 'bout I see you Wildcard Wednesday and we have this talk again?
Wax Frog and MP-Logick like this.

Gronk will be watching the wildcard games from his hot tub.

My knowledge of broken bones is not complete but that said:

A bone is either 100% healed or 0% healed - there is no gray area where it is 75% healed.

Gronk will be ready or he will not. Anyone saying hold him out until he TOTALLY heals does not have enough information (OK, we never have enough info, I mean enough info we can get.)

That was my exact thought. If BB is asked on Wednesday if Gronk is ready, he is not answering whether he will be ready on Sunday.......or he is saying he is not ready due to a lack of recent game time (and will start being ready with some playing time Sunday).
Gotta love BB's adherence to the 'no minute advantage is too small' mantra

Belichick said it was day-to-day in the story and devolved into what is a medical staff decision vs. a coaching staff decision. But Gronk is practicing, so he's doing okay to do walk-throughs.
