I'm literally baffled that someone can choose Steve Grogan (More INTs than TDs) or Bledsoe (Underachieving #1 overall pick) as a "favorite" over Brady, the most important player in Patriots history.
I'm just asking for an explanation why they feel the way they do. The only one I can come up with is they're trying to prove how "old school" a fan they are?
I mean if Brady was kind of an arrogant smug guy (eg: Rodgers) or a criminal (eg: Lawrence Taylor) then maybe I can see a case for him not being your "favorite". But the guy represents everything that's right about sports. Classy, humble, driven, the ultimate underdog story, clutch, tough....what ISN'T there to like about Brady? What characteristics did Grogan or Bledsoe have that would possess someone to say they enjoyed watching them more than Brady?
"Man, I love watching Brady play. This is great"
"Yeah, I preferred watching Grogan and Bledsoe though. Those were my favorites"
And honestly, I don't think Bledsoe even belonged in that group of Pats yesterday. (Though I certainly won't forget his importance in the AFCC '01) The best thing that ever happened to this franchise is him getting injured. Vrabel, or McGinest would of been better choices.
