33 TD, 11 Int, 106 Passer Rating, 8.6 YPA, 4273 yards


These are OUTSTANDING numbers, easily qualify him for another top 10 best season of all time for a QB. When you consider he doesn't have any real # 1 Wide Receiver, this makes it even more impressive.

Anyone know what his projections are for the season at this rate? We could be witnessing a 5,000 yard passing season for Tom.

If he throws 400 against DEN and MIA each he breaks Marino's record.

If he just throws +/- 300 against the remaining 3 he breaks the record...(812 to go). But he has location and weather to contend with (among other things).

And I think we will see at least 10 more passing TD's as long as Gronk stays healthy.

Just don't know if he gets the record with Rodgers and Brees also in contention. Brees is ahead at this juncture because his completion % is something Tommy can't quite match for reasons not entirely of his own making...and he's inside the rest of the way against the Viqueens and home against Atlanta and Carolina. Unless Brees goes down in a heep he will be hard to catch under the circumstances.

Brees will throw for more yards than Tom. Mainly because he plays all his remaining games in a dome and throws the ball 40 times a game.

Part of that may come down to getting slotted in the playoffs and how much rest Brees gets as a result.

All these numbers are nice, but all that is important are number of W's...

With or without breaking records, #12 will be considered one of the best all time at his position.

I think Marino's record is going down, but to Brees.

Given the pass wacky (or pass happy) nature of the NFL these days, it actually is quite an accomplishment for Marino to have set this record in the 80's. Same with his TD record. I know that Manning and Brady broke it, but in a way Marino's numbers are more impressive given the age of the NFL that he was playing in.

Brady DOES have a #1 WR. Wes Welker is arguably the best WR in the NFL and statistically he is the best.

Wes Welker is the best SLOT WR of all time. He is not a # 1 Wide Receiver. He doesn't have the physical tools. He is not a Hakeem Nicks, let alone a Calvin Johnson.
