Default Javarris James

The Edge's cousin is looking pretty good up there in Indy, isn't he? Love those former 'Canes!

At one point, I saw this headline: "Javarris James Set To Step Into Patriots Lineup After Trade of Laurence Maroney"

(Javarris James - Official New England Patriots Biography)

Wonder why this didn't work out? Anybody know?

If I am not mistaken, Indy had him, then waived him, then we grabbed him, then waived him, and Indy picked him back up.

Too bad we couldn't find a way to hang onto him on the practice squad. He looks like he could turn into something special!

6 carries for 18 yards is not all that "special"

Yeah, it's not like he's having a Chris Ivory-like season or anything. He's filled his niche nicely, nothing more than that.

As a Miami alum, let me assure you that Javarris James is terrible.

28 carries for 63 yards is a case to be waived.

Creator of the Pats must draft Jason Verrett in 2014 no matter the cost fanclub.

The reason he looks good, is because your comparing him to what Donald Brown has done this year. The Maroney pick didn't turn out like we all hoped for, but stacked up next to the Donald Brown pick, it looks 100X better.

It probably didn't work out because he sucks. He's the same runner as the Law Firm, except only 10% as effective.

Not so much looking at his stats as much as how he ran with the ball.

I was watching that Indy game and he was hitting holes nicely, and with authority. He could definitely be a good back in the NFL.

I am not saying Walter Payton or anything, but a good servicable back.

And given our unstable running back situation, he may have been able to help out.

Speaking of which, has anyone heard if The Toe is playing this week?

James was in Training Camp with the Colts but got cut on final cutdown day.

The Pats signed him to the Practice Squad and then released him a month later. His release came a few days after the Pats signed RB Thomas Clayton off the Browns PS so that's why they probably cut him.

He was then signed to the Redskins PS for one day before the Colts signed him to their Active roster because they had several injuries to their RB's.

Not something to worry about too much I think.
