We are and have been plagued by an unusual amount of injuries in the last two years (not to mention suspensions).
We have been having problems overcoming them, and losing our #2 pick Kenny Irons, and having our former #1 pick Chris Perry constantly hurt at the RB position is killing our flexibiltiy in the running game. Rudi is a product of our offensive line, which, when healthy (unlike last year, another problem area) is one of the better units in the NFL.
Watson is a good change of pace back, but he's no starter. Hopefully we can disguise this with play-action and enough honest runs to eke out a win.
I'm not hopeful, but am yet desperate.
The Bengals simply cannot afford to go 1-3 headed into their bye with the freaking Steelers beating up sub-par competition n the division.
But they just might. Or maybe not. MNF at home, licking our wounds, I like our chances of handing the Pats their first loss, provided ST's doesn't melt down again (Shayne Graham is also hurt).
