We should have a thread solely for posting ridiculous threads from other teams boards that provide a good chuckle.

Here's one!

Hey, that was the Indy contention when we did have your number for 4 of the last 6 years...and it will be the Indy contention again when we get your new number memorized ...we now accept that, it's how your minds work after all. Peyton is never worse than equal even in defeat, and exponentially better when you finally do win. You've just never acknowledged that better whenyou win concept when the roles were reversed. As Bill says, it is what it is.

Av played a large role in our super-bowl run, theres no doubt about it. But without Peyton Manning, this team doesn't even make the playoffs, much less get to the Super-Bowl. Also, KC and Balt gameplanned to stop Peyton, figuring they could contain Rhodes and Addai. That partially explains Peytons bad numbers in those 2 games, IMO. It's also why Rhodes and Addai were so effective. Oh yeah, there was also the record-breaking performance against the pats in which he CLEARLY outplayed "Mr. Clutch", who only managed to throw the season ending interception.

Gee, we used to say the same things which is what makes this comical Brady Manning comparison deja vu with the only difference who's saying it. LOL

Again with the contract....... Peyton Mannings cap hit for next year is 8.2 million, according to https://oncourse.iu.edu/access/conte...thoughts1.html. Bradys is 7,446,720 according to http://www.patscap.com/index.html. As you can see, Toms cap number is almost as big as Peytons. Does his contract cripple the pats? Why does Peytons impact us while Toms doesn't affect the pats?

Because Irsay had to pony up $34M in signing bonus and another $19M in now converted roster bonus in the first three seasons of Mannings deal. Which is why Mannings scheduled now annually restructured cap hits for 2008-2010 have emploded to $18.7, $21.2 and $19.3 while Tom's remain manageable at $14.2, $14.2 and $10.2. Every time you restructure these deals the money you defer is landing somewhere, grasshopper. You can only play that game for so long even with extensions that add more years to the mix (and usually are granted at an additional price...).

(that's why Polian loves working in Indiana...you guys are soooo easy to confuse...maybe this will clear it up, though I have my doubts

Peytons got his ring. His legacy is secure already, even if he never wins another. If he stays healthy and plays as long as he says he wants to, he'll retire with EVERY passing record in the books. And IMO, if that happens, EVERY discussion about the Greatest Of All Time will START with Peyton Manning, regardless of what Tom does.
So one ring and mountains of otherwise empty stats compiled over any number of failed championship seasons trumps multiple rings in the GOAT legacy department? Only in Indy, buddy. Where fans choose to believe that when they win it's because of Peyton and when they lose it's always been somebody elses's fault - even though his playoff stats and uneven performances have always belied that assertion.

This guy gives a new meaning to the term delusional. Seems some of the serious fans get it but the cheerleaders are in full blown krishna mode. Just keep chanting and soon you will BELIEVE, not that it will matter.

Cam had a great cast to work with in SD, so he may or may not be a difference making OC. Unfortunately for the 'fins, he's their HC. I love how all teams who lose have their built in OC bashers - Mularkey was calling an offense that wasn't even his, and their QB situation had him attempting to do that with one hand tied behind his back by the former HC. 5 new linemen is never a good thing. Green is comfortable with Cam and his offense because he couldn't crack it 9 years ago as a third stringer in DC. The rest of them are starting over from scratch.

It's not right to take stuff public, but the 'fins veteran leaders speak the truth. It's deja vu all over again in Miami, and the only question is how long before Cam is in the hot seat just like his predecessors. Although he's already tested it for warmth on draft day.

Some of you Pats fans are delirious. Face it, when Manning retires with EVERY PASSING RECORD IN HISTORY. And 2+ Rings, every disussion about the GOAT will start with him. Marino never won one and an argument still can be made for him

what is this thing about 2+ rings? this year, it wasn't that the colts were great, it was that everyone else sucked. And even then they barely got it. Colts fans act like they destroyed the patriots in the game. It was by 4 points and a bad call by a ref. Even the ref admitted it was a bad call.
