Default Meriweather's nickname

Is The Hit Stick.

Here's an interview he did with the student newspaper back in fall 2005.

http://media.www.thehurricaneonline....-1029264.shtml

Quote:
TH: Would you say that you hit the hardest on the team, or would you give that honor to one of the bigger guys, like Spencer Adkins or Willie Williams?

BM: Right now, I would have to say Jon Beason is probably the hardest hitter on the team, backed up by me, Willie, Leon [Williams]; basically all our linebackers hit hard, as well as our secondary.

[...]

TH: In a few weeks, you guys are going to find yourselves in a very hostile environment in Blacksburg, Va. What would you rather do to turn off the crowd: get a pick or lay a good one on Marcus Vick?

BM: Lay a good one on Mr. Vick [laughs].

A safety who is great in coverage but still loves to hit.

Hhmmmm.....sounds like some guy who plays for the Ravens. Ed something?

You must be talking about that safety from Miami who was choosen with the #24 pick back in 2002. Can't remember which team picked him though.

Recently, I have had the pleasure of seeing the Boston Red Sox win the World Series And the New England Patriots win three Superbowls. Not bad, eh?

What about Brandon "Flora, Fauna and" Meriweather? Not as snappy but it has a pop culture reference.
