Default dynasty va a good team

If we win the SB, it will be four in six years, same as the 70's Steelers, but I think there is a difference.

People question whether we are a dynasty, but I think we are more of a dynasty that the 70's Steelers. Those four teams didn't have many changes, especially in the skill positions. It was really one team that held together for six years.

I can think of only seven players who will play this Sunday that played in the 2001 playoffs (Tom Brady, Troy Brown, Tedy Bruschi, Mike Vrabel, Matt Light, Kevin Faulk, Richard Seymour). The rest of the guys who will hit the field and play are new. The Patriots are not just a good team, they are a dynasty that keeps winning even when the players leave and new ones come in.

If only Ken Walter wasnt on IR we would have another.

They'll find out Randy can't run consistently anymore. He'll drive [Tom] Brady and [Bill] Belichick crazy. This is just my personal opinion from what I saw: He's losing his legs. He's becoming an old man fast.

To be honest, in some ways I feel like dynasty means the same group of people sustaining dominance. When it is the same team but different people it is an outstanding organization. You can call it a dynasty too, but it definitely isn't more of one than the other definition.

A dynasty is a dynasty. However I do think this would be better than the Steeler one from a front office/coaching/organization perspective for the reasons you give. I can't believe we're close again - but also, still far.

Some empires ruled for centuries, even though the soldiers came and went.

It is the Patriot Dynasty of this decade, the seasons starting in 2000-2009. I do hope that Scotty and Bill will be here for the entire decade. Few if any players will be.

In the end, it is the Patriot Dynasty, and it is ownership that defines the Patriots. If bb and Scott left and Charlie came back and coached us to our last SB of the decade in 2009, that would still be part of the dynasty for me. It is MORE of a dynasty to succeed even with player changes.

That being said, I personally consider this to be the dynasty of ownership, of Brady, of bb and of pioli.
