Default How bad is Chad Jackson right now?

So bad that Kelvin Kight a UDFA out of Florida who was an afterthought to Jackson in school...played in 40% of the snaps while Jackson played 10% or 7 plays.

I'll reserve final judgement on the kid until about week 10 next year but it doesn't look great...

I also just realized that aside from Troy and Bam, we have a nearly 100% Florida WR core. Maybe we should bring in Spurrier to coach offense! (That was a joke)

Shades of Bethel in him?

Really though...two scrubs get time on the field over a 2nd rounder who was supposed to go in the first?

SO CHildress, and Kight are better?

Ouch

Why do we keep rehashing this ? Kight has been in the league a few years and was healthy during camp when you learn the offense. Jackson wasn't. Childress was on the team last year. Once the season starts most of the time goes to preparation not learning. It's a shame but Chad missed a critical piece of his rookie year before it even began.

Don't you think that by Week 16, none of this matters? I'm not piling on...I hope Jackson evolves into the weapon we'd all like. I happened to watch the tape of the Bears game this week and Jackson and Brady just missed on two long plays that would have been incredible. CJ's got the speed and the hands, but yesterday's lack of playing time and production in a pass-dominated game plan would seem to make clear that he will be an asterisk this year and we'll all be hoping and praying for a different result next year.

To end on a positive note though: Watson's absence has enabled three exciting new passing threats: Faulk's greater presence and variety, Maroney's greater involvement in the passing game, and Thomas's hands -- what a breakout game for him! Personally, I'm 100% thrilled -- Chad, see you next year.

Could you kindly list for me, just within the past 10 years, all the rookie wide receivers who missed training camp and went on to have big rookie seasons?

Lets get serious here. Rookie QBs, safeties and linebackers who miss camp are at a huge disadvantage for the entirety of the season - they need to learn schemes. As far as wideouts, lets put this in perspective: these are the 10 routes we want you to run and if your corner blitzes, learn this hot route. I'm not going to throw Jackson under the bus; just not defend him with bogus excuses.
