View Poll Results: Who has the better career coaching W-L percentage? (regular season)
Not real good news on Watson or Wilfork, have not been seen on the field for the media portion of the practice.. unless something remarkable happens today, do not see either one of them on Sunday.. unless BB is pulling a rope a doppa.

Wilfork for me. Maroney would be nice to have but with Dillon and Faulk, i don't think his loss is as critical as Wilfork. As much as I like Rodney, we've played adequately without him the last six weeks or so. Watson would be nice as well but again i think the defense against the run has suffered without wilfork especially considering that Junior is out also.
I voted for Wilfork. We're up against possibly two excellent backs with Jacksonville, and it will be a blowout if they can run on us and control the clock.
After that, I would say O'C. My eyeballs tell me our run game was a ton better when he was in there early in the season. I don't think Kaczur has sufficient functional strength to play RT, he's more a finesse guy and was actually better last year at LT. O'C is a classic RT road grader. I think we've missed him.
The other key guy I'm worried about is Faulk, especially if Maroney doesn't play. Our RB play from scrimmage has been mediocre this year; it's Faulk and Maroney's receiving and returning that has been exceptional. With our mediocre WR corps and unreliable TE's, we need Faulk and Maroney in the passing and returning game.
If we lack Wilfork, Faulk, and Maroney, this could be a very bad Sunday.
Of course OL performance is a major synergy with rushing, and there are others, but the net effect is that Jacksonville has a vastly better running game than we do, and their backs are comparable receivers. But Maroney and Faulk are major special team contributors as well, not reflected in these stats.
But maybe you can see why I dread Wilfork being out and hope O'C can return to maybe boost what is now a terrible running game. And we need one of Faulk or Maroney healthy or were in trouble offensively and with returns.

I share your dread. I, too, hope that O'C can return and contribute. At this point, I wouldn't mind seeing Wesley Britt at RT. I thought he had an outstanding game vs. the Bengals. Kaczur and Light, perhaps still recovering from last year's injuries, haven't done the job. I hope they are indeed still recovering, because if this is the best they have, then we're in the doo-doo.

On defense, we've lost both Wilfork and Seau in the middle since the Chicago game, and of course Rodney before that. That's a lot of run stopping talent lost, especially inside. Jacksonville is by far the best rushing offense we've faced this season. I'm nervous as can be.
I can tell you this, if Jacksonville comes out and breaks long runs on us -- which no one has done this season -- I'm not staying up to watch the rest of this game in real time (it comes on at 2AM here).
Fortunately Jacksonville is even more inconsistent than we are, so there's really no telling what will happen...

If Wilfork is hors de combat, then I say it's time to see what LeKevin Smith has.
Of the players who didn't play last Sunday, which one do we really need to play, and play well this Sunday.
Big Vince, Ben Watson, Maroney, or Rodney, which would have the biggest impact on the game this Sunday.
As much as I love Rodney, I think Big Vince is the guy that we really need this Sunday. His value to the team is under rated by many. He would be the clog in the middle to help contain Jax's running game.
Rodney without a doubt. Not only for his play, but for his leadership. Hes like the QB for our defense.
