Default Tom Brady's broken ribs and finger

So the truth has finally come out that Brady had to play with these injuries last year. I think that BB did the right thing in not letting information leak out; this would be like blood in the water for the circling sharks on the defense.

On another note I have to wonder how much longer Brady will decide to keep playing the game if he gets hammered and injured each season. Would you rather play on an icy nasty-turf field with broken ribs for Captain Bligh or would you rather be reclining on a dais in the south of France while a Brazilian model peels grapes for you? Tough choice but I know I would prefer to get hammered by steroid (HGH actually) pumped goons...

Another FredFromDartmouth disaster. It was pretty common knowledge during the season that Brady had injured ribs, fingers, and a shoulder. I could have told you that with absolute certainty.

I do agree, however, that he needs to be protected a little bit better. Sure he didn't take a lot of sacks, but he absorbed a ton of hard hits.

It's a rare NFL QB that couldn't find hot chicks to spend his money with at exotic expensive resorts. Why should a driven, competitive guy like TFB be especially susceptable to walking away from football compared to other successfull NFL QBs? It may be a surprise but most players actually love playing and rue the day when they'll have to stop. Some don't feel that way and their careers are short. I see no evidence whatsoever that Brady is in group 2.

I don't see Brady quitting football earlier than expected because of injuries,if he quits early it will be because of his father duties and spending more time at home with them.

Stop being right all the time. It's getting annoying.

I couldn't imagine any other QB in the league, even Favre, playing w/broken ribs. Thats just reckless on Tom and the coaching staffs part.

No doubt Tom is one of the toughest guys around. I bet he was on some good drugs before each game though, no way he could take NFL hits with broken ribs without a little pain medication.

Doctors obviously signed off to let him play, but its still crazy. Right up there (probably more impressive actually) with Hobbs playing the season with a separated shoulder, sports hernia and a groin tear.

One thing it does show is that they need to do a much better job protecting Tom this year. Whether he wants to play or not it won't matter, if he is absorbing huge hits and breaking ribs he won't be playing until he's 40 like he wants to.

Where are the wonderful fans on this forum accusing Brady of being a globe-trotting, artsy-fartsy, eurotrash, sophsticated, California-boy, Mrs. Bunchen?

I, for one, would like to see a line (and blocking RB) that gives TB enough time to deliver the ball without getting up off the turf 75% of the time.

Just because he can get rid of the ball fast, doesn't preclude him from getting hammered alot. Maybe this year the OC has a few plays ( and players)that can make the defense that blitzes all the time (ala Jets) pay for their aggressiveness.

Yes - let Defenses know he has Broken Ribs and Brady's life is in danger

As it stood the Patriots did divulge that Brady was probably with rib, finger and shoulder injuries and was 100% in compliance - though I'm sure some will attempt to cry foul.

Goodell and the NFL are clearly in bed with the Mafia in helping them set an accurate point spread - and are probably upset they didn't know the FULL extent of Brady's injury but both for player safety, and the integrity of the game, I'm glad they didn't divulge more.
