He will be a good QB for them, but I think Sanchez would have gone the way of Carr and Couch, all kinds of talent but no line to protect them. Which led to them panicking and developing bad habits just to protect themselves.
Yeah I don't see how drafting Sanchize would have increased their number of wins last year but that's just me I guess

I think BB had more of a say in whom we draft in the past 2 seasons, which have resulted in much stronger drafts.
Then please don't, that's been beaten to death and is just so much bad blood for any discussion around here.

KC's draft:

Eric Berry
Dexter McCluster
Javier Arenas
Jon Asamoah
Tony Moeaki
Kendrick Lewis
Cameron Sheffield

They improved the secondary and interior O-line (I like that they aren't going for wholesale changes on the O-line but are keeping them intact to grow the chemistry they were starting to show at the end of the season), got Cassel a Welker of his very own (and if they are smart they'll convert Arenas into a third down back and give him his own Faulk), gave him and the O-line some TE help, and gave Vrabel a replacement to groom. Not too shabby.

The guys on ESPN seemed ready to give up on Matt Cassel as well during the draft. I don't get why. He wasn't bad, and it's not like he had much to work with.

I don't miss Pioli, though I wish him well. Last year was a bit rough, but they seemed to have a good draft this season. They should give the guy a few more years before running him out of town. I think having Charlie and RAC in town will help as well. Sure, it's nepotism, but it's not like anyone else better wanted the job.

I think the Chiefs drafted well this year. I rate Berry, Asamoah and Moeaki; there are uses for both Arenas and McCluster if their coach knows what he's doing.

Maybe Cassel will be good enough. Maybe he won't. If he's not, they'll have a top pick next year to take someone like Jake Locker, Andrew Love or Ryan Mallett. And if they do draft one of them, at least they'll have a team to surround them with, rather than putting a QB in a David Carr-situation.

I didn't get that at all. He had nothing at all to work with.
