Brady just isn't into it like he was in seasons past. I think when you keep taking his weapons away from him and don't do anything to make his job easier that in itself can wear on any QB i'm sure.

The team building this season is far from done, so i'd be surprised if brady sitting out was anything to do with him being unhappy.

-young family
-newly married
-older
-not an athletic position

Showing up in shape to tc is all that required for brady to be ready for the season. This time off may help rejuvenate him for the season ahead. He need to be sharp and healthy for the postseason.

I voted for A, because I do think that they SHOULD show. I'm not going to rake them over the coals if they don't though. Brady/Warren/Moss are adults, and they've been great players for us. I trust that they'll all show up to camp in great shape and be there to set the tone for the rookies. Not like there are any new players to acclimate anyways.

This is pretty much how I feel about it. I would like for them to be there, but these workouts ARE voluntary and it's their right to miss them if they feel the need to do so.

A good period of prolonged rest can do just as good as extra workouts.

Today`s chat mike pointed out the Mike vrabel was never big into the whole voluntary off season workout in his time in NE.

How many of you who knew about this for the last 10 yrs ?
How many here thinks Vrabel was a crappy leader and a player for not taking part in it?

ALSO ,am i the only one who sees ROOKIES mentioned in this before the DRAFT.

Yea i saw that after i posted it, can't edit a poll. Though the sentiment is still there. There are players attending the voluntary offseason workouts for the first time in essence make them rookies to the process.

Would this issue be greater if it were not the pats? Would you demand more of your vets at this time from a lesser team?

My take is if these rookies can't get motivated by playing for the best team of the prior decade and they can't get it from our coaching staff either, then what the heck are they doing there? Just being able to exchange a sentence or two and get coached up by one of the best coaches EVER should be plenty. There will be a lot of time for vets to demonstrate leadership later. I'm not concerned about it in the middle of March. To me, this is a complete non-issue.
