I don't know if anything would've stopped Chicago that yr Deus, but it's something to always think of in the back of your mind. 1st series too, that just screamed bad luck.

I think we were just on the bad end of 'one of those matchups.'

Desmond Howard always stays in my head too though, although Parcells didn't help having one foot out the door either.

At least they got redemption the 3rd time around.

That's another game that really pissed me off. The Patriots could have won that one.

Watching The Tuner come out of the tunnel onto the field I had the sick feeling that all was lost. He had the thousand yard stare of someone preoccupied with events not occuring at the time. And uncharacteristically, that's the way he coached that game. Hated him for that for years afterward, but in retrospect our 4 pick Franchise, The Statue, wasn't gonna get us a ring anyhow.

It wasn't "The Statue" that let a return man become the MVP.

Or if Stanley Morgan had caught that slant in the EZ that same series, or if Don Blackmun had caught that sure pick-6 later in the quarter...The Pats had their chances early to force da Bears out of their comfort zone, and I believe that the game would've been much more competetive had they taken advantage.

Yeah, and he was also one of the few Patriots making any plays, despite the interceptions.

After reading some of your posts I reliazed I really hate the Fish a lot more than the Bills. My ex boss is from Buffalo and he's a ok guy as well.
Go Bills
