Default A home game against Buffalo to Remember

Well ,We haven't taken a ride in the Time Machine for a long time but when I saw that We are opening against Buffalo at Home ,my thoughts took Me back to 1974 when We played at Home against O.J. Simpson and The Buffalo Bills. In 1973 O.J. became the first player in NFL History to rush for 2000 yards and many of them came against Our Patriots as in two games He rushed for 250 yards and 219 yards. The following season Chuck Fairbanks switched the Defense to a 3-4 Defense to slow down O.J. Simpson. There was a great deal of excitement as O.J. and The Electric Company were a very tough opponent.Early in the game , O.J. Simpson swept left and was swarmed by Patriot Defenders .In the scrum, Defensive End Mel Lunsford punched O.J. Simpson in the nuts and O.J completely flipped out !He took off his helmet and started swinging it wildly at all of The Patriots He was a man who had lost complete control.O.J. and Mel Lunsford were both ejected and as Mel Lunsford left the crowd went absolutely wild.It was an exchange any Patriot Fan would take in a heartbeat. It was a great day at The Stadium and a harbinger of things to come concerning O.J.'s temper.

Awesome story from the "dark ages"! I don't care what anyone says: that OJ had anger issues.

Seems to me the only way for the Pats to stop O.J. was to get him kicked out of the game.

The flip side of that is the only way O.J. could be stopped is if he was stupid enough to get himself kicked out.

How would you react if you were punched in the nuts in a game situation and nothing was done about it?

I'd probably wait about 20 years and kill my wife and her waiter boyfriend.

Well, based on what we know now - Mel's probably lucky OJ just swung his helmet.
