My outlook on GODell's been posted many times so I'll refrain from retyping it all, but as far as the Pats go, most of the bs problems which have haunted us this season stem from his complete mishandling of Spygate. He's been trying to compensate ever since, but rather than we should jump forward to the present and apply some of his inconsistencies in a more general way.
He's imposed more rules of play than any one person can reasonably keep track of, yet the entire league is becoming besmirched with season-ending injuries. More rules inherently implies the opposite effect;fewer of these kinds of injuries, yet the opposite is happening.
His mantra's always been "preserving the integrity of the game" yet his actions denote "changing" the game. He also fails to address officiating problems,instead opting for the silencing any attempts to address the problem by fining anyone who dares question it or speak out about it.
I'm also not too warm and fuzzy about his injection of the military, retired or not, into the sporting world.
Bottom line for me...he's taking the NFL in a direction that should be making a whole lot of people begin to feel somewhat uncomfortable.
Anyone who heads up a multi-billion dollar industry like the NFL should be subject to much more intense scrutiny imho. When there's that much money and influence floating around, the person in charge needs a few more checks and balances in place; no one person should possess so much power.

IMO He has taken this multi-billion dollar industry and turned it for the worse.
He rarely listens to what others think about the officiating or fines that he shoves out into the masses.
And like you, I had enough of this commish after the whole Spygate fiasco.
What a waste of good talent....

Are you f#cking kidding me? Canada I can see, maybe even Mexico City. But having an NFL franchise is London is one of the most ridiculous things ever. Yeah, increase the schedule and give 10 teams a year 16 flying hours for one game (not to mention the London franchise having to fly back and forth 8 times a year). This guy is dumber than a rock.
I am afraid for the sport that we enjoy. I know a popular opinion back when Tags was the commish was "someone needs to keep these players in line", but this is getting out of hand. And his whole "appeal" process is a slap in the face to anything in the legal process.
How do they change Commisioners? Is it something the owners have to do, or is it just up to Dumba$s when he wants to leave?
I love the Patriots, but it bothers me more and more every week that my love for the Pats also supports this idiot and his bumbling stupidity.

Its not an easy job by no means. I feel he is a bit over his head. He may very well develop into the position but the first few years have been shaky for him. He seems to be more reactive than proactive in dealing with situations and this has led many to question his indecisiveness.

The only sane way to address this is to re-boot NFL Europe. If it got good enough 50 years from now, the Super Bowl could be a truly international game -- NFL America vs. NFL Europe.

Yearning for European/Asian exposure and having an international franchise are vastly different things, as is having one preseaon game vs. 8 away games on a different continent.
Imagine, London United is the new franchise. Free agency would be a nightmare (Hey, come play for us and fly 16 hours 8 times a year!). You'd think they would need a seperate base of operations in the States for away games. Contracts would be kind of funny with conversion rates (I have read this is a problem the Toronto Raptors often have to compete with). And would Europe be up for supporting a full time NFL schedule? Sure, they come out for a novelty game a year...just like us with soccer. The attendance for the World Cup was great, so MLS started up...how did that work out?
It just doesn't seem like a great idea for an actual franchise, is all. One game a year, maybe even two is fine. The poster who said doing an honest to God world championship with NFLA vs NFLE would be the best way, and that will take years to get NFLE established enough to get solid players.
As folks said, NFL Europe would need a re-boot. The fact of its failure seems lost to hubris on the part of NFL brass. Admitedly, were there a 4 team Division in Europe, pond travel would be lessened with the inter-divisional games. Man do we need an SST or what? As an old timer I'm really against this expansion outside North and Central Americer.
