Bill Belichick:

As it currently stands, Elliot Wolf has been the person most involved as the club began building its coaching staff.  Wolf, who is the lone person in the building with any real contacts outside New England, has seemingly led the way as the club has rounded out its offensive staff.

During Bill Belichick’s final press conference for the New England Patriots, he talked about the fact he and owner Robert Kraft were parting ways, seeming measured and stoic as he spoke to reporters.

He didn’t answer any questions as he and Kraft delivered the news.
However, Belichick’s voice notably broke as he talked about the fans in the region and how much it all meant to him before he walked out of the door for the last time.

It was a surprise when Cleveland fired him. The Browns used five different quarterbacks, yet they still finished tenth in scoring in the NFL. 

Coming off of the news the Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots were parting ways several weeks ago, it felt like the only question was where and not when Belichick would be back leading a team in 2024.

“We can talk about scheme… but if you don’t have players that have a shared vision that are on the same page, then it’s going to be hard”

Following his departure from the New England Patriots, there seemed to be little doubt that given the amount of openings that were continuing to become available around the league, Bill Belichick would be on someone’s sideline in 2024.  The only question would just be where he’d end up.

I don’t care what your title is. It’s what’s your job, what value do you bring to the organization. I think that’s the most important thing.

It was inevitable, the breakup of the 24-year marriage between Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick.  The end of an era, one that you will never see again. 

A seismic shift in the Earth occurred on Wednesday with the retirement of Alabama head coach Nick Saban.

Perhaps a bigger one occurred the next day in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Say whatever you want about Bill Belichick.  If you’re a Patriots fan and whether you love him, or you hate him and you’re happy he’s moving on, he still respects and appreciates you.
