Despite being in the playoffs, April’s NFL Draft will likely come quicker than most of us expect. This is my 1st attempt at a Mock Draft for the Patriots.
Looking at the Patriots Snap Totals over the final couple of weeks, it’s been interesting looking at the defensive side of the football, where Marcus Jones has seen a dramatic drop off in playing time.
Okay, so the Patriots just missed out on the top AFC seed. Get over it. It’s playoff time, and the Patriots are back on the NFL “A” list.
“The only wins that are gonna matter is gonna be the ones we can get moving forward. We’ll get ready and do what we do every week.”
From the outhouse to the penthouse, the Patriots convincingly dispatched the Miami Dolphins 38-10. The Patriots finished off the regular season with another dominating win against an undermanned Dolphins team to complete a 14-3 regular season.
The Patriots woke up from the slumber in the second half en route to a 38-10 victory and the two seed in the AFC. Drake Maye put forth his claim to league MVP while Rhamondre Stevenson got the touchdown hat trick.
After the Steelers pulled off the upset against the Ravens on Sunday night, the NFL announced the schedule for next weekend’s Wild Card Weekend matchups.
Sunday’s win at Gillette Stadium was New England’s 14th of the season, with the team flipping the script after a 4-13 campaign last season.
Coming off a season where Maye finished with 2,276 yards passing along with 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, 2025 has certainly been a remarkably different story.
Way back in Week 2, Maye carved up Miami’s secondary, going 19-23 for 230 yards and a pair of touchdown passes along with a rushing score.
The 7-9 Dolphins have nothing to play for. They travel to New England in the dead of winter for a game that means nothing to them.
Maye leads the league in completion percentage (71.7), yards per attempt (8.9), and passer rating (112.9) in 2025.
Maye completed 19-21 passes for 256 yards (12.2-yard average) with five touchdown passes for a passer rating of 157.0.
Some thoughts coming off the Patriots’ 13th victory of this 2025 NFL season.
The New England Patriots are AFC East Division Champions. The 1st day of practice on April 7th, Head Coach Mike Vrabel addressed the team and said his goal is to win the Division.
Hours after their 42-10 blowout win over the Jets, the Patriots apparently spent the journey back to Gillette Stadium keeping an eye on what was going on out in Buffalo between the Bills and Eagles.
Maye was magnificent, completing 19-21 for 256 yards with five touchdown passes to five different receivers for a passer rating of 157.0.
As Jets players walked off the field on Sunday, it was obvious they were completely outclassed by a Patriots team that blew them out 42-10, even despite not having all of their top guys healthy.
Sunday’s win certainly made a statement, with the Patriots going down to MetLife Stadium and delivering a knockout blow to a Jets team that continues limping into what will likely be another long offseason.
The Patriots came out on fire and never took their foot off the gas on their way to a 42-10 victory.
Heading into Week 17, only one player in the Patriots locker room had played every offensive snap during this 2025 season. On Sunday, that streak finally came to an end.
Combined with the Patriots breezing their way to a 42-13 win over the New York Jets on Sunday at MetLife Stadium, the Bills’ loss gave the Patriots the AFC East championship.
Here’s what New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel had to say following the Patriots’ 42-10 win over the Jets on Sunday.
Special teams have been a very, very strong point for these guys. Faked a punt; punt returns 14-yard average, two touchdowns, one called back
This week’s opponent is the lowly NY Jets. Even though the game will be played in the Meadowlands, not even Tony Soprano could help them.
