The Miami running game couldn’t get much going last week against Philly. Their OL is really banged up, and they were down three starters.

If there was anything that stood out on Sunday, it would be the missed tackles the New England Patriots had against the Bills that will be something they’ll hopefully need to improve on this weekend against the Dolphins.

The New England Patriots have obviously sustained some significant personnel losses this season, and it sounds like one of them won’t be seen again until 2024.

The Patriots have certainly gotten some surprise contributions on offense this season, and one player in particular has absolutely stood out through seven weeks.

Coming off of Sunday’s win against the Bills, the number one takeaway from that game is the fact the New England Patriots appear to have finally found something that works up front, and this may be the game we look back on at the end of the year as the moment everything changed.

I said last night after the game that I couldn’t wait to see the Offensive Line grades that came out today.  Pro Football Focus produces weekly and yearly grades for all players and it’s the only site a fan can see what the rankings are.  Several scribes don’t agree with the rankings that PFF produces but without anything to compare it to, they are the one independent source you can see.   PFF posts how they arrive at the grades.

Obviously, there’s been a lot of speculation about Belichick’s future, with many already beginning to turn the page on him locally.  While it’s easy to “ignore the noise” outside the building, it doesn’t change the fact that internally, players had already been started to be peppered with questions related to Belichick’s possible firing.

Obviously, the first six weeks here in New England have been less than ideal, with Patriots quarterback Mac Jones being the target for a lot of that criticism.

Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien spoke to reporters on Tuesday and felt that despite Sunday’s outcome in Las Vegas, the club took a step forward this past weekend on offense, although they still have a long way to go.

“Yeah, he’s [Reagor] a first-round pick. He’s a talented guy…But he’s been out there every day, works hard, and done a good job.

In one of the most surprising moves of the weekend, the Patriots not only elevated one of their quarterbacks to the 53-man roster but also handed him a new contract.

If Mac Jones can’t turn things around this week out in Las Vegas, it looks like he’s got a couple of people behind him coming on strong.
