The Jaguars come into this game with an equal record to the Patriots at 1-5. The Jags Offense is ranked #19 with 329.5 yards per game per Fox Sports.

Patriots rookie Drake Maye had a shaky start but overall played pretty well, all things considered. 

I didn’t have very high expectations for this game with Drake Maye starting his first game, the uncertainty of the Offensive Line, and having to play the Houston Texans.  I was pleasantly surprised by the play by Drake Maye.

“His reads were good all day,” Mayo said of Maye. “I thought his reads were good. I’ll watch the film, but I thought he did a good job.”

Major announcement that Drake Maye will start at QB for the Patriots against the Houston Texans.  This is a colossal mistake. 

The news isn’t very good for a 4th consecutive week with an effort that can only be described as sloppy.  The Patriots were called for 12 penalties by a flag happy officiating crew for a whopping 105 yards.

As we wrote, they only ran the ball 19 times but ran for 151 yards and a touchdown, for an average of 7.9 yards per rush, a new team record.

This week we return home for a matchup with division rival the Miami Dolphins.  They are a very talented team when healthy and they are not right now (sound familiar).  They lost Tua Tagovailoa to his third concussion and many believe that he should hang up his spikes. 

“Teams are going to pressure us… So now, it’s about how do we answer and combat that moving forward,” Jacoby Brissett said.

After hitting a franchise record 63 yard field goal out in San Francisco on Sunday, New England Patriots kicker Joey Slye ended up with a note taped to his locker by the NFL.

Jacoby Brissett has been battered this season and at times it is surprising that he gets up.. He was sacked six times and hit ten times

All things considered, Demontrey Jacobs played surprisingly well at left tackle on Sunday, which saw the Patriots start yet another player on that side of the line just four games into this 2024 campaign.

The Patriots missed Anfernee Jennings and his ability to hold the edge.  David Andrews goes down with a shoulder injury after the first series and Nick Levett is pressed into action. 

The Patriots have another tough opponent this week in the San Francisco 49’ers.

Listening and reading a lot of the analysis on the New England Patriots coming out of last Thursday night’s loss at MetLife, you would think we’re at the midway point of the season and that what we’ve seen so far is a small sample of how the rest of this season will play out.

One of the big topic of discussions coming off of last Thursday night’s loss has been the performance of Alex Van Pelt, who is dealing with a fair amount of issues during his first real tenure as an offensive coordinator.

This is a short week and a big advantage for the Jets playing at home on Thursday night.  This is also the Jets Home Opener after playing the first two weeks on the road.   Both teams come into the week 1-1.

The Patriots’ passing game has been mired in neutral thus far, and they have been unable to get the wide receivers involved. That’s bad news

Seattle’s two outstanding wide receivers combined for 22 catches for 246 yards and a TD.. Patriots’ WRs caught 3 passes for 19 yards and a TD
