One of the last remaining questions from Wild Card weekend was what the final match-up would be next weekend as the Texans took on the Steelers on Monday Night Football.
After New England beat the Chargers 16-3 on Sunday night football, that left the Patriots waiting to see who their opponent would be. Given how things played out last weekend, that was contingent on the outcome of Monday night’s final Wild Card match-up between the Steelers and Texans.
Following Houston’s 30-6 win in Pittsburgh, now we know who they’ll be facing and when that battle will take place.
Next up on the Patriots Schedule this postseason will be the Texans, who will be the team headed to Gillette Stadium for this weekend’s Divisional round match-up. The Monday night broadcast on ESPN also revealed the dates and times for this weekend’s games.
The broadcast revealed that it will be Mike Vrabel’s team that will play the early game against the Texans on Sunday. That game has a start time set for 3:00 pm ET on ESPN.
Next weekend will kick off with Buffalo taking on the Broncos in Denver at 4:30 pm on Saturday, while San Francisco will follow that one with a battle against the Seahawks in Seattle for the Saturday night game at 8:00 pm ET.
To finish off the Divisional Round of games, after the Patriots’ Sunday afternoon battle with the Texans, it will be the Rams taking on the Bears in Chicago for the late game on Sunday, which is set for 6:30 pm.
The winners from each conference will then face off in the conference championships the following weekend, with the winners of those two then seeing an opportunity to play in this year’s Super Bowl out in Santa Clara, California.
For now, here in New England, we’re on to the Texans.

So Patriot fans you ready for a dominate defense?
Did you watch the game Saturday night? New England has a group that should make life tough on Stroud, and Maye should absolutely be better out there than the effort Rodgers just put up. But the Texans are a good, young team and this will definitely be a good match-up.
