Running back Damien Harris said his final goodbyes to Patriots nation this week after agreeing to a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills this past Tuesday.
In a post to Instagram, Harris shared a collection of photographs from his Foxborough tenure and a caption that read “Thank You NE” alongside a heart emoji.
In his four seasons as a Patriot, the Alabama product played in 38 games with 34 starts, recording 449 carries, 2,094 rushing yards, 20 rushing touchdowns, averaged 4.7 yards per carry, and hauled in 40 catches for 281 passing yards.
After missing multiple games in 2022 due to hamstring and thigh injuries, Harris lost the starting job to second-year back Rhamondre Stevenson, and the Patriots elected to move on. He’ll look to re-establish his role as the lead back for a Bills team still looking to get over the hump and win its first Super Bowl next season.
