This past weekend the New England Patriots made headlines when they traded a 2023 third-round pick for Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker and a 2022 fifth-round pick.
The move immediately created impressive depth to a Patriots wide receiving corps with plenty of upsides as Parker joins Jakobi Meyers, Kendrick Bourne, Nelson Agholor, and tight ends Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith.
Over his seven-year NFL career, Parker has 388 receptions for 4,727 yards and 24 touchdowns but has averaged just 13 games a season due to injuries. In 2019, which was Parker’s best as a pro, was the only time he played in all 16 games.
During his final season with the Dolphins, Parker caught 40 passes for 515 yards and two touchdowns in ten games.
After the trade became official on Tuesday, Parker shared the following reaction over Instagram.
On Wednesday, Parker made his first on-camera comments in a brief one-on-one interview.
