No, Julian Edelman Is Not Working Out With Tom Brady This Week
Brian Fluharty - USA TODAY Sports
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was back throwing football social media into a frenzy to begin this week.
On Monday, Brady shared workout footage featuring Julian Edelman on the campus of UCLA in what was initially interpreted by some as the start of a potential comeback by the Super Bowl MVP wide receiver.
Edelman then quote tweeted Brady, writing “how’s the knee look?” to further add to the speculation.

To make matters worse, Rob Gronkowski joined in with a tweet of his own.

The good news for Pats fans that are hoping Edelman stays true to his “Foxboro Forever” mantra? NESN’s Zack Cox did some research and discovered the posted video was from 2021 and not recent as some media outlets incorrectly reported.
FYI on the the Julian Edelman video Tom Brady just posted: It’s not from a new workout. Videos from the same day were shared last summer. pic.twitter.com/PvI475WEd9

The revelation didn’t stop Edelman from having some fun with the story as new Patriots “offseason GM” Mathew Judon made sure to throw him a pitch to return to Foxboro.

Edelman has repeatedly squashed unretirement rumors and is carving out a very successful second career in sports media as a panelist on Showtime’s “Inside The NFL” program.
So at least for now, Edelman’s “Foxboro Forever” mantra remains intact.
