Mac Jones had a solid showing at the Pro Bowl on Sunday, with the quarterback seeing a bit of action since we last saw him in the Wild Card playoff loss out in Buffalo several weeks ago.

Jones had some fun as he hit the field with other players from his Conference, finishing as the AFC’s leading passer after completing 12-of-16 for a team-high 112yds with a touchdown and an interception as the AFC defeated the NFC 41-35.

His interception came on a throw to Travis Kelce, with the tight end not turning around as Jones threw him the football and Trevon Diggs picked him off.

The rookie did throw a touchdown on Sunday, with the quarterback finding Raiders receiver Hunter Renfrow in the back of the end zone on a terrific pass where Jones rolled out to his right and then placed the football perfectly over two defenders, with Refrow hauling it in before getting both feet down for the touchdown.

Jones had a funny moment on Sunday that drew some smiles from his teammates.  On a play late in the 4th quarter, he was under pressure on a 3rd-and-6 and was forced out to his left.

The quarterback then slipped past a couple of defenders, with one of them touching him, which drew a whistle from the officials.

However, the QB didn’t realize he had been touched.  He then took off 60-yards into the end zone and did a dance, before finally realizing it didn’t count.

Meanwhile, teammate J.C. Jackson also had a nice play on Sunday, picking off a pass intended for Kyle Juszczyk where the ball went off his hands and, as usual, Jackson alertly made the play as he tight-roped the sideline and hauled in the football for the turnover.

Overall, it was a nice showing for the Patriots, with Jones standing out amongst his peers, although the Chargers’ Justin Herbert (he finished 7-of-11 98yds 2TDs 1INT) and Maxx Crosby would go on to earn MVP honors for the AFC.

The Patriots’ signal-caller will now turn the page toward the offseason, as he’ll spend the next few months getting himself ready to improve on what was a solid rookie season here in New England.

Kyle is a fullback, not a tight end.
