On the 20th anniversary of his first Super Bowl championship, Tom Brady shared an epic social media video reflecting back on his NFL career Thursday morning.
Brady, who officially retired Tuesday, received some scrutiny from Patriots fans after they were left out of his initial announcement post, but as you’ll see in the Instagram video below, there are plenty of Patriots memories included in this one.
“I played for the name on the front of my jersey and the name on the back of my jersey. I played for my friends, my family, and our community, every single one of you, that have given me what I have today”, Brady said in an accompanying caption.
Prior to this posting, Brady also thanked Patriots fans in an Instagram story and later Bill Belichick.
While it remains to be seen just what the Patriots will do to honor Brady in New England, the Boston Herald’s Andrew Callahan reported Tuesday the team “will discuss a return soon” but “nothing has been planned at this time”.
