Julian Edelman is setting the record straight about his future.
Over the weekend, Edelman tweeted at Pat McAfee following a discussion on his show about whether or not Edelman is considering coming out of retirement to join Tom Brady on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this upcoming season.
“Ain’t going anywhere bubs #FoxboroForever”, Edelman wrote.

The rumors of Edelman reuniting with Brady in Florida became a sports media talking point following a joke Brady made about him during NFL Network’s virtual Draft-A-Thon.
“We know Julian didn’t retire. Let’s be honest,” a laughing Brady said during the livestream.
“He’s just too scared to tell [Patriots head coach] Bill [Belichick] he wants to come to Tampa. I’ve been there,” Brady added, joking about his own departure from the Patriots last March.
Following Brady’s remarks, Edelman changed the conversation to poking fun of Brady’s shirt, making many wonder why he didn’t directly respond.

As it stands, Edelman’s tweet confirms he has zero future plans to return to the NFL after electing to retire after 12 seasons due to a chronic knee injury that limited him to just six games in 2020.
Edelman later revealed he’ll be joining “Inside The NFL” as part of his film making deal with ViacomCBS.
