Two members of the 2021 New England Patriots shared updates to their jersey numbers this week.

On Monday, linebacker Josh Uche revealed over social media he “traded” his number 53 back to linebacker Kyle Van Noy, who returned to the Patriots last month after a season with the Miami Dolphins. Van Noy of course, won two Super Bowls wearing 53 during his first stint in Foxborough.

Last week, Van Noy teased he was getting his old 53 back, but terms of the “trade” with Uche weren’t disclosed.

Uche will now sport the number 55 heading into this upcoming season according to his Instagram story.

“New Era”, Uche wrote alongside a photo of his locker featuring the new number.

In addition to Uche’s change, newly signed wide receiver Kendrick Bourne also revealed his number with the Patriots on Tuesday. He’ll be sporting the number 84 previously worn by noted past Patriot greats Deion Branch and Benjamin Watson.

Bourne shared a photoshopped image of himself wearing his new jersey and number over Instagram.
