For the third consecutive year, former New England Patriots defensive end Richard Seymour is a finalist for induction to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and his old teammate Tom Brady is doing what he can to help get him in.
On Tuesday, Brady shared a personal endorsement of Seymour over Twitter, referring to him as a “cornerstone of the Patriots dynasty”.

I would love to see Richard Seymour inducted into NFL HOF. Not only was he a dominant player but a team-first, selfless player who played championship fb each & every wk. He was a cornerstone of the Patriots dynasty & deserves to be recognized for his contributions to fb history

Seymour later responded to Brady’s tweet, wishing him good luck in next weeks NFC Championship game.

The sixth overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft, Seymour earned seven Pro Bowl invites and three first team All-Pro honors over his 12 year career between the Patriots and Oakland Raiders, winning three Super Bowls.
Since retirement, Seymour has been named to the Patriots 50th Anniversary Team and Patriots All 2000’s Team.
Last spring, Seymour became a member of the Patriots Hall of Fame following a fan vote.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Pro Football Hall of Fame voters will meet virtually to decide the Class of 2021.
