There’s been many farewells in Patriots Nation over the past week, but a particular “squirrel” is here to stay.
On his social media accounts Tuesday, wide receiver Julian Edelman shared a game day photograph with a simple message to fans, “Foxborough Forever”.
For the first time since Tom Brady’s four game suspension in 2016, Edelman will have a new starting quarterback in 2020 tossing him the football, and he appears ready for the challenge that awaits.
In May 2019, Edelman signed a two-year, $18 million contract extension with the Patriots with $12 million guaranteed, keeping the Super Bowl MVP under contract through the 2021 season.
