The New England Patriots re-signed longtime special teams captain Matthew Slater back on March 13th to a two-year extension averaging $2.6 million per year.
An eight-time Pro Bowl selection, Slater has been named the Patriots’ special-teams captain every year since 2011 and is a vocal and spiritual leader in the locker room.
Slater has led the Patriots in special-teams tackles in seven of his 12 professional seasons.
