.@Edelman11 just became the 5th player with 500+ receptions in @Patriots franchise history.

He joins Wes Welker, Troy Brown, Stanley Morgan, and @RobGronkowski on the short list.

— NFL Research (@NFLResearch) September 9, 2019

In the second quarter a Stephen Gostkowski 25 yard Field Goal and a Phillip Dorsett 25 yard touchdown pass from Tom Brady gave the Patriots early separation from Pittsburgh. 17-0 New England.

What's absolutely crazy is that the #Patriots have shut out their opponents in the first half in their last 3 games (AFC Champ, Super Bowl, and tonight) @NBC10Boston

— Craig Kolodny (@CraigKolodny) September 9, 2019

The @Patriots have never lost a game after leading by 20+ points at halftime.

61-0 in franchise history.

— Kyle Van Noy (@KVN_03) September 9, 2019

In the third quarter a Chris Boswell 19 yard field goal put Pittsburgh on the board, but that would be all they’d get on this night. 20-3 New England.

Phillip Dorsett found the end zone for a second time following a 58 yard bomb from Tom Brady that carved up the Steeler secondary. 27-3 New England.

https://twitter.com/Patriots/status/1170884364218929152?s=20

The other? George Blanda, who did so vs the Steelers in 1970.

— NFL Research (@NFLResearch) September 9, 2019

A Stephen Gostkowski 35 yard field goal put the Patriots up 27 after three. 30-3 New England.

And he's 42-years old and obviously not even close to done.

— PatsFans.com (@PatsFans) September 9, 2019
