Malcolm Mitchell Looks Back On Time With Patriots
Winslow Townson - USA TODAY Sports
Former New England Patriots wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell returned to New England this week as part of his “Read With Malcolm” child literacy program.
ESPN Boston’s Mike Reiss sat down for an interview with Mitchell to talk football, his retirement and what lies ahead.
Mitchell has had 10 surgeries on his knee leading to a premature retirement from the NFL, but his impact on the Patriots, especially in Super Bowl LI hasn’t been forgotten.
During the comeback, Mitchell hauled in five receptions for 63 yards in the fourth quarter.
On “3/28 Day” Reiss shared a few videos from his interview with Mitchell over Twitter.
On his Instagram Friday, Mitchell shared a heartfelt thank you message to the Patriots and their fans.
“I’m not 100 percent sure where I’ll end up in life,” Mitchell said. “With football, it’s easy to see into the future and build an idea of where you want it to end up. With that gone, it’s been a little hazy to see where I’ll end up. One thing I hope people in New England know is that I made sure I went out a Patriot.”
