At 41 years of age and entering his 20th professional season, quarterback Tom Brady is still leaving many around the NFL puzzled by his continued success.

On Tuesday during the annual NFL coaches breakfast, New York Jets head coach Adam Gase shared his amazement at Brady’s seemingly ageless performance with a memorable quote.

“I wake up and feel like s**t … and he’s older than me” the 40 year old Gase replied.

Gase, who previously coached the Miami Dolphins for the past three seasons, has so far been unable to overtake Brady’s Patriots in the AFC East. He was fired after a 7-9 season but later hired by the New York Jets.

The Patriots have won the AFC East for the last ten consecutive seasons while the Jets last division title occurred in 2002.
