In the latest example of Boston sports teams supporting one another, a few members of the Boston Bruins traded in their hockey skates for the pigskin and visited Patriots training camp Tuesday afternoon.
Spotted at Gillette Stadium was defensemen Charlie McAvoy and Matt Grzelcyk, along with forwards Ryan Donato and Chris Wagner.

Of the four Bruins in attendance, Grezlcyk, Donato and Wagner all grew up in Massachusetts while McAvoy attended Boston University.

The visit continued the long standing friendly relationship between the Bruins and Patriots.
Who could forget Rob Gronkowski’s memorable puck spike following the teams Super Bowl XLIX victory at TD Garden or Patrick Chung skating at the Bruins practice facility last year?
Back in January following the AFC title game, Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy looked to the Patriots for inspiration to help his young and up and coming team, saying “It’s just an amazing quality that team has…The culture they’ve created there, the identity. We’d love to be that.”
For Boston sports fans, they’d love for both teams to bring home another championship.
