After remaining mostly silent following the news his PED suspension appeal was upheld by the NFL, New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman took to Instagram on Sunday with an apology to his family, teammates, coaches and fans.

Edelman told reporters on Saturday that “It’s disappointing with the penalty and the findings.’’ “I’m definitely accountable for that. But ultimately my focus is going out and trying to work my knee and get better each day. It was tough last year. Watching your team go out and play great football without you”
