Nate Solder Missing From PreGame Warm-Ups Against Texans
A bit of a surprise on Sunday as the Patriots appear to be without their starting left tackle against one of the more difficult pass-rushing teams in the AFC.
The veteran tackle was spotted on the field Sunday morning but wasn’t in uniform prior to the rest of the team coming out for warm-ups, and was later missing as the club began going through their pre-game routines.
Solder wasn’t listed on the Patriots inactive report and his absence certainly raises concern. Â According to multiple reports, Cameron Fleming appears poised to get the start in Solder’s place.
Also missing from today is Marcus Cannon, who reportedly suffered a concussion in last week’s win over New Orleans. Â Cannon was limited this week on the team’s injury report and was “Questionable” heading into the contest. Â LeAdrian Waddle was warming up at the right tackle position, and his presence is slightly less of a concern given that he’s at least seemingly had more time to prepare given that Cannon’s injury status was known during the week.
It should make for an interesting battle as the Patriots will face a tough pass rush from Houston, which features J.J. Watt, Whitney Mercilus and Jadaveon Clowney.
