New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski may have missed playing in Super Bowl LI, but he got a chance to redeem himself on another big sports stage at Wrestlemania 33 in Orlando, Florida on Sunday.
Orginally a front row spectator watching his good friend Mojo Rawley take on Jinder Mahal, Gronk soon found himself a part of the fight when it carried on outside of the ring right in front of where he was sitting.
Mahal, realizing Gronk was there, decided to throw a drink at him before jumping back into the ring.
Gronk responded to Mahal’s actions by jumping over a barrier and up onto the ring to assist Rawley despite securitys best efforts to keep him away. What resulted was this punishing hit on Mahal and a vintage Gronk celebration for the ages.
