Winslow Townson - USA TODAY Sports
On Thursday morning, the New England Patriots welcomed their fans back to Gillette Stadium for the first open public practice of 2016 Training Camp.
As expected fans came out in droves for the 9am start time, over 12,000 attended the session, with the annual “running of the fans” following the opening of the gates.

The best sound bites of the first day came from none other than Rob Gronkowski following practice.
Hey, Rob Gronkowski, does Jimmy Garoppolo scramble better than Tom Brady?
Gronk: "No one makes better scrambled eggs than me."
