The Weekend began with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady posting a Winter Classic Bruins tribute to his personal Facebook page. He joked around with Boston Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask by photo-shopping his face onto a picture of Rask in his equipment.

Wide receiver Brandon LaFell took advantage of the location of the final game, bringing his family to the beach for the holiday weekend.

Running back Stephen Jackson pulled a page out of former Boston Celtic Kevin Garnetts book with a rather vicious pregame routine at the goal post.

Sigh of relief.

Patriots call heads. Matthew Slater shouts it out loud. It is heads. Slater yells out, "We choose to defer!" No confusion this week.

With the game underway, it proved to be an offensive struggle for both franchises, with the score remaining 3-0 Dolphins into the second quarter when defensive end Ndamukong Suh had this ferocious low hit on Tom Brady that nearly sent Patriots fans everywhere into a coma. Following the game, Brady was diagnosed with a sprained ankle.

It was a long afternoon for TB12.

From @ESPNStatsInfo: With 5 pass attempts, it is the fewest Tom Brady has thrown in the 1st half of a start in his 16-year career.

With the game tied at 10 late in the fourth quarter, Dolphin wide receiver DeVante Parker made this ridiculous catch to get his team within striking distance of a fourth quarter go ahead score.

A few plays later Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill found tight end Jordan Cameron to take a 17-10 touchdown lead with 6:58 to go in the game.

After a few more tough hits on Tom Brady he was relived for backup Jimmy Garoppolo the Patriots decided to throw in the towel and prefer full health going into the playoffs.

The Patriots concluded the 2015 season with a 17-10 defeat and a final record of 12-4, losing four of their final six games.

The Patriots' season has officially begun.
