Following the New England Patriots blowout 36-7 win over the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night, the team was right back to work on Friday as they invited tight ends Steve Maneri and Bear Pascoe into Foxboro for workouts according to a report by NESN’s Doug Kyed.

Maneri, going undrafted out of Temple University in 2010, was first signed by the Houston Texans as an offensive tackle but was waived during final cuts before the 2010 season opened up. He was claimed off waivers by the Patriots a day later but never saw any action in three games. Maneri bounced around to the Chiefs, Bears, Buccaneers, Patriots a second time over the next 5 seasons. By 2015, he began the season with the Jets before making a third appearance with the Patriots on Friday.

In limited NFL action, Maneri has just has six career receptions for 52 yards.

Bear Pascoe was a 2009 sixth round draft pick of the New York Giants, winning a ring against the Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI, before moving on to the Atlanta Falcons and Chicago Bears.

In his NFL Career, Pascoe has 40 receptions for 336 yards and two touchdowns.

With a banged up offensive line, the Patriots are exploring a variety of possibilities to protect and block for quarterback Tom Brady.
