Thursday Night’s win 36-7 win over the Dolphins was a dominant performance by New England on both sides of the football and a night where several players wrote their names into the record books.
One of he more notable records was Stephen Gostkowski’s consecutive field goal streak, which the veteran tied former kicker Adam Vinatieri’s streak of 25 with just over three minutes to go in the first half with a kick that wasn’t exactly easy. Gostkowski hit a 52-yard field goal that looked initially like it might sail wide right, only to hook back inside the uprights.
He later moved ahead of Vinatieri in the third quarter with a 36-yard field goal for his 26th straight kick, giving him the franchise record.
