According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com former Ohio State quarterback turned free agent wide receiver Terrelle Pryor held a workout session for the New England Patriots on Monday but no signing agreement was reached.

At the time of the workout, the Patriots had four receivers on the active roster in Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Aaron Dobson and Chris Harper. Both Kenbrell Thompkins and Nathan Palmer were on the practice squad.

However, as of 5:30 pm Tuesday, Boston Herald Patriots beat columnist Karen Guregian reported the Patriots cut wide receiver Chris Harper and notes a possible promotion of Thompkins to the active roster.

Does the Pats release of Harper, mean Kenbrell Thompkins gets promoted from the practice squad? Perhaps, we'll see.
