NFL Insider Tom Pelissero is reporting that the Patriots are re-signing soon-to-be exclusive rights free agent quarterback Nathan Rourke. He's expected to have received a one-year qualifying offer for the league minimum to keep him in the fold for 2024.  

According to NFL analyst Ryan Fowler, the Patriots are set to meet with LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels on Tuesday night. Daniels is expected to be among several quarterbacks the Patriots will have to decide between ahead of April's NFL Draft.

Patriots director of Scouting and Eliot Wolf met with reporters on Tuesday and said that they're hopeful to be able to keep Onwenu in the fold. "Mike’s really smart, and he’s introspective, and he’s thoughtful, and he knows what he wants, which is always good when you’re dealing with a player," said Wolf. "He’s certainly someone that we view as a cornerstone for us.”

The Boston Herald's Doug Kyed reports the Patriots will reportedly meet with North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye this week, with Maye among the key names New England will be evaluating as they try and decide on who they'll bring in during April's NFL Draft.

The veteran defensive back is due a $14.375 million salary in 2024, which would see the team end up with a significant cap savings by either cutting or trading him.

The Patriots have reportedly met with Holy Cross offensive lineman CJ Hanson, who is a 6'6", 305-pound offensive guard who got a fair amount of exposure during the recent Shrine Bowl ahead of the NFL Combine.

According to ESPN, the Cincinnati Bengals have placed the franchise tag on wide receiver Tee Higgins. Higgins was set to hit free agency, with the Patriots among teams who were expected to be a possible landing spot. Instead, Cincinnati now has more time to potentially reach an extension, or see their wideout play under the tag for 2024.

According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, the Patriots and Kendrick Bourne have yet to make progress on a new contract, with sources telling Reiss there have been "no substantial contract extension talks" at this time.

Callahan reports that negotiations between the Patriots and Bourne have not advanced since the team approached his camp about re-signing shortly after the receiver tore his ACL in late October. He also reports the wideout reportedly visited the team facility last week and is ahead of schedule with his recovery.
