There will be a day that Father Time comes for Tom Brady. But until he hangs them up, why why WHY would any self-respecting Patriots fan give up?
I mean, people were ****ing giving up tonight after the second interception and we were UP by 3 at the time. Holy ****. Thank goodness this team is not as mentally-fragile as those guys. They would have crumbled before the national anthem.
This isn't about calling people out though. This is a reminder of who TOM ****ING BRADY is. And why you never, ever, ever count him out. Remember...
Super Bowl XLIX: Brady leads the largest 4th-quarter comeback in Super Bowl history, down 10 against the generation's greatest D. At least, it was the largest one until...
Super Bowl LI: Brady comes back down 28-3, trailing by 19 to start the 4th quarter, which then becomes the largest comeback in the history of the Super Bowl.
Not enough?
Which one of the 35 4th quarter comebacks should we talk about? Which one of the 44 game-winning drives will convince you to stop giving up early?
What about last year's AFCCG trailing the Jaguars and their #2-ranked defense by 11? Or the 2014 divisional round game where we trailed Baltimore by 14 TWICE, and overcame it both times to win?
What about November 24, 2013 when we trailed Denver 24-0 and came back to win? Or the 2011 team trailing the Bills 21-0 in the last week of the season, only to run off the next 49 points and win in a blowout?
Heck, even when we lose, we almost never get blown out and usually give ourselves a chance. Against the Giants in 2007, Brady led the team down the field finally to take the lead late, only to watch the D give up the game-winning score. Or the 2012 49ers game where we trailed 31-3, then rattled off 28 straight points to tie it up before giving up a kickoff return and eventually losing.
This team is resilient. This team is tough. This team has snatched victory from the jaws of defeat countless times. How many more will it take before you don't turn off the TV just because they're only up 3 points?
