It's a joke :)

Speaking on the topic of season extension though, I wouldn’t want a 17 game season in the future, as is always being rumored in the pre-season, due to all of this season’s records being easier obtained in the future by some other team who has a full extra game.

Except for the ones that really matter. Those get harder. :)

I'd love a 17th game. One more game is one more game.

The union should agree to it, and their price should be a few more roster slots (and hence jobs). Win-win-win. There are more games and more revenue; the quality is upheld by making it a little easier to let guys heal mid-season.

However -- just where should the season be extended with extra weeks? At the beginning or the end? Neither answer is ideal from the standpoint of weather.

Nah -- that's too many, it'd water down the product even further and beat guys up more. How does that help them heal mid-season? Plus it's an odd number.

It would be a scheduling nightmare. I would love to see one more game, but who do you play?

Adding one more game is pointless.
